Hello,

 

As soon as we saw Michelle's artwork we had a lot of discussion in our family about  what it meant to each of us.  In the end, we decided we are a campasinate nation with people willing to make sacrafices to help their fellow man. 

 

Max, Michelle's cousin, is pictured near Officer Chris KIlcullen's memorial.  He like many of the officers, medics, firefighters on 9/11 sacraficed his life recently to protect others.

Haley S.'s artwork made it all the way across Madeira from the Middle School to Grandma & Grandpa Schweppe's house, which is across from the Elementary School.

We are very proud of Haley, and will be sending Haley's artwork to our niece in Phoenix City, AL.

Jacob M. sent his artwork to a high school student, Corey Isaacs, in Lebanon, Ohio.  Corey was excited to be a part of the INSPIRE Project and sent the artwork on to help the nation remember 9/11.

Emily S. sent her picture to Cincinnati.  Her family said, "The artwork in the attached photo illustrates that people throughout the world must all work together to achive peace."

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Dear Matt Gilkey,

My name is Amy Baird, I am Ms. Rossi's Aunt. I received the picture you drew of 911. It was a beautiful picture and made me think, once again, of that day in our history.
There are pieces of our American History that are so sad and tragic, but these periods in time must bring our country and one another together to learn from them. By experiencing them, although so painful, they make us stronger not only as a nation but as individuals.
Thank you for helping inspire me to remember that day and what our nation stands for.

Washington DC

Christina sent her artwork to the nation's capital.  Victoria Robertson took this picture in front of the White House.  She says, "Christina's artwork reminded me to be grateful for the loyalty and sacrifices of the servicemen and women who protect freedom and democracy.  Thank you, Christina!"

Cincinnati, Ohio

Josh's artwork was send to Douglas Desbennett.  Douglas said that the artwork, "Reminded him of the freedoms that we have in this country."  

Fort Rucker, Alabama

Krystle Kothman sent this picture of Mannar's tribute art from a US Army Aviation Center in Alabama.  Krystle wants to thank Mannar for helping the nation remember September 11.  

Madeira, Ohio

Elle kept her artwork local by sending it to Rick and Ann Hemmert.  They helped inspire peace (thanks Rick) by taking this picture.  

West Springfield, Massachusetts

Ari's grandparents sent this patriotic picture from Massachusetts.  They wanted to send Ari and Madeira Middle School a big THANK YOU for being a part of the INSPIRE project.  

Chicago, Illinois

Mckenna's artwork made it to Chicago.  Over the weekend, Catherine Higginson sent in the above pictures to help make a contribution to the INSPIRE Project.  We are excited to see where Mckenn's art will travel next!

Brecksville, OH

Lydia D.'s art made it all the way to Brecksville, OH, a city south of Cleveland.  Sarah Schlabig was inspired by Lydia's art and sent it on to her high school social studies teacher.  We look forward to hearing from him!

Novi, MI
